While a good portion of people do not always enjoy the cold, some people look at the snow as a pop- up playground!
With winter beginning to come into full swing here in Northeast Ohio, many people are beginning to hibernate, maybe with a heated blanket and a good movie to watch, but the winter does not always have to mean you are trapped within the walls of your home, and trying something new can always turn out to be a wonderful experience.
1.) Try snowboarding or skiing
Many people think they will never be able to do it, but you never know until you try, and with Boston Mills Brandywine in Hocking Hills Ohio, home to eight different trails and lessons from licensed instructors, you can be hitting the slopes in no time.
2.) Sledding and tubing
Find a hill and grab those gloves! Any sledding adventure can become a favorite memory when you are with good friends or family and get to laugh over wipe outs and tumbles into the flurries of snow
3.) Ice skating
Lace up those skates and hold on, because skating can be a blast and a half with practice! Lots of seasonal rinks open up and are home to anyone from professionals to beginners, so why not give it a try!
4.) Frosty the Snowman
Our childhood tends to escape us rather quickly, but it can come flooding back when you and friends or family build a snowman taller than you! grab a few buttons, a top hat, and a carrot nose, and be ready for surprise snowballs!
5.) Brite Winter Festival
Held in Cleveland, the Brite Winter Festival is a free festival that showcases local artists and music, including hands on crafts and games that will be fun for all, not to mention the stellar light show!
6.) Polar Express Ride
ALL ABOARD! Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroads hosts the polar express night, which can be a private party or not, lasting two hours and creating a night that you surely will not forget!
7.) A Christmas Story House Museum
You may not shoot your eye out, but you surely will not want them shut getting to see the original Christmas Story house located in Cleveland, with the props, costumes, and memorabilia directly from the film!
8.) Castle Noel
Located in Medina, Castle Noel is the Nations largest indoor Christmas entertainment attraction that is open year round! Whether you walk in or make a reservation, Castle Noel will surely keep you entertained and warm!
9.) Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame
It may not have a snowy theme to it, but it is definitely something to check out, after all, Cleveland is the home of rock and roll!
10.) Art and History Museums
If you prefer being indoors during the cold, museums are the way to go! No matter the theme to the museum, I feel as though most can agree to them being entertaining as well as a learning experience, so give it a shot!

Winter is coming.. wouldn't it be nice if you had a water view to help
--I have bought and sold with Terri and Carol. They are very client focused and not high pressure at all. Terri is very patient and was willing to take the time to make sure I found just the right house. She went the extra mile to get answers when there were some concerns about a house I had put a bid on, including going to city hall to ask questions! I was selling when the market was down and she was a great resource and very supportive, not letting me get discouraged when it took longer to sell then I'd hoped. They both are a great source of information on the market and can help you price just right to sell. They don't stop when an offer has been made--Terri stayed very involved through the whole process and helped things go smoothly. My buyers were taking longer to get financing then they thought they would, and I was worried about losing the house I'd put a bid on, but Terri stayed on top of things and helped everything get sorted out. I've recommended them to friends and family, and everyone who's used them has been very happy.
