We have finally rounded the corner into Spring! Yes it is true that houses sell 365 a year but this is typically the time of year where inventory starts to increase as everyone is ready to sell. Are you ready for the Spring market? Whether you are selling or buying there are a few things to keep in mind.
If you are selling it is important to start cleaning up your front yard. Sounds crazy, right? No. Curb appeal. Think curb appeal! If someone drives up to your home and they do not like what they see from the curb, the chances of them wanting to walk through your front door diminish significantly. Give them a reason to want to see inside. What you project from the outside translates past the front door. Are you thinking of selling but haven't figured out if the numbers will work for you? If you are a buyer in this market here are some realities. Rates are great! But our inventory is low. Where does this leave you? It is important to understand your buying power first and foremost. The first step in entering the real estate market is to get pre-approved! Do not try guessing at what you can afford. You would be surprised at all the different loan products that are available and you really do need this important step before we can go looking at homes. As a retired realtor, I've seen some challenging transactions, and this was definitely up there. He was able to navigate an incredible selling price while being fair to both parties. He provided outside of the box marketing that helped to obtain the out of state customer.
